Course/Module description:
The course covers basic concepts and analytical tools in microeconomics: production possibility frontier and alternative cost, economic growth and international trade, production function and resource allocation, competitive market mechanism, economic behavior of producers and consumers, supply and demand, elasticity, equilibrium, monopoly, externalities, government intervention.
The course has one final exam (mandatory).

הנוכחות בקורס היא חובה. בכל שיעור תירשם הנוכחות בכיתה. תלמידים אשר מסיבה כלשהי לא יירשמו ביותר מ-8 שיעורים במהלך הסמסטר, לא יהיו זכאים לגשת לבחינה הסופית בקורס. שמונת השיעורים הלא רשומים נועדו לאפשר מקרים בהם תלמידים לא נכחו עקב נסיבות אישיות, או מקרים בהם תלמידים שנכחו בשיעורים לא יכלו להירשם מסיבות טכניות.
היעדרות מסיבות של מילואים, אשפוז, מחלה של לפחות 4 ימים עם אישור רופא, אירוע מזכה על פי סעיף 1.12.3 בנהלי הוראה ולימודים (התאמות בנסיבות של הורות), חג או סיור חובה בקורס אחר, לא תיספר במניין 8 השיעורים הלא רשומים. במקרים אלו יש לדווח לעוזרי ההוראה ולצרף מסמכים המעידים על סיבת ההיעדרות. שימו לב: לסגל הקורס אין סמכות להתיר היעדרות נוספת שאינה כלולה בסיבות אלה. ניתן להגיש בקשות לוועדת חריגים באמצעות טופס ייעודי באתר המחלקה. הבקשות יידונו ברמת המחלקה.
הערות והבהרות:
- לפי נהלי האוניברסיטה, ההשתתפות בשיעורים היא חובה, ותלמידי הקורס מצופים להגיע לכל השיעורים. יחד עם זאת, אנו מכירים בכך שעשויות להיות נסיבות אישיות שאינן מאפשרות נוכחות או הרשמה, על אף שאינן כלולות ברשימת הסיבות הפורמליות המוזכרות לעיל (מילואים, אשפוז וכו'). לפיכך, מותר לא להירשם בשמונה שיעורים גם בלי צורך בהגשת בקשה.
- תלמידים החוזרים על הקורס ועמדו בחובת הנוכחות בשנה הקודמת, פטורים מחובת הרישום.
- חובת רישום הנוכחות לא חלה על תרגולים ומרכזי למידה.
- במקרה של שינויים באורך הקורס תיתכן התאמה במספר השיעורים שניתן לא להירשם בהם.
- ניתן להירשם בקבוצות שונות של אותו קורס.
- תלמידים במסלול משולב עם חוג בקמפוס ספרא שיש להם התנגשות בלתי נמנעת עם כל הקבוצות באחד השיעורים, ייחשב הדבר כמו "סיור חובה בקורס אחר" שאינו נספר במניין 8 החיסורים המותרים.
