Course/Module description:
The course deals with basic concepts and analytical tools in economics: production possibility frontier and alternative cost, economic growth and international trade, production function and resource allocation, competitive market mechanism, economic behavior of producers and consumers, supply and demand, elasticity, equilibrium, monopoly, externalities, government intervention, income inequality. The course has two exams: a midterm (elective) and a final (mandatory).
