Course/Module description:
This course continues the research methods 1 course. While the first part of the course focused on the the production of knowledge in the social sciences, the emphasis in the second part of the course is the application of the materials. Specifically, the main emphasis in on data collection and processing, along with knowledge of computer programs and principles and tests of
Basic Statistics.
Course/Module aims:
▪ learn methods for collecting and processing data
▪ use software for data processing and data processing (SPSS)
▪ practice basic Statistics
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
* Read and understand academic papers that use statistical analyzes intermediate level.
* Open and work with a statistical database.
* Run simple statistical functions using SPSS and interpret the outcomes
* Test hypotheses using simple statistical analysis

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
Weekly meetings in the computer lab during which we will go through statistical matters and get familiarized with SPSS. In addition 8 practicums during the emester.
