Course/Module description:
This is a mandatory course in Political Science. The objective is to discover masterpieces, fundamental texts and ideas in political thought with a special focus on Greek and Roman authors.


Course/Module aims:
The objective of this course is to acquire a basic acquaintance with fundamental concepts in political thought, such as justice, authority, equality, democracy and so on. This course is designed as a series of controversies or debates on selected topics with a special focus on Ancient philosophy as it is the cradle of western political theory.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

Written / Oral / Practical Exam 60 %
Submission assignments during the semester: Exercises / Essays / Audits / Reports / Forum / Simulation / others 40 %
