Course/Module description:
Students in the course will learn about key research approaches and methods for research in Organizational Behavior. The course involves a hands-on approach. In addition to theoretical concepts that will be covered, students will also take part in conducting research-oriented and data analysis tasks.
Course/Module aims:
1. Provide students with the fundamental knowledge of research methods and design used in organizational behavior.
2. Facilitate students understanding for how using valid scientific methods can improve and create valuable organizational knowledge in general and in the field of organizational behavior in particular.
3. Guide and mentor students in developing, completing, and presenting a valid research.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
* Critically analyze scientific claims made in popular and academic media
* Collect their own data using a variety of strategies
* Analyze quantitative data using a statistical software
* Interpret the results and derive practical conclusions

Lectures (introduction to theoretical aspects of the analyses), class exercises
Practical classes (introduction to a computer-based data analysis with statistical software SPSS)
Course/Module Content:
Introduction: overview of the research process in organizational behavior and introduction to basic terminology (validity, reliability, research design).
Questionnaire development
Research strategies for data analyses:
Structural analyses (analysis of correlations, factor analysis)
Hypotheses analyses (regression analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA).
