Course/Module description:
Sourcing is a critical activity used at both tactical and strategic levels. It is concerned with what needs to be purchased, why, when and where. The course was created to help supply chain managers and practitioners to improve, develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies.

Course/Module aims:
Module I: Strategy – Matching business and sourcing strategies
• Module II: Research – Investigating needs and options
• Module III: Execution – Engaging and contracting with suppliers
• Module IV: Management – Managing risks and relationships

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To fill a complete sourcing process, to establish decisions that are based on data, to decide to allocate purchasing between central and the organization units, to publish optimize tenders.
