Course/Module description:
An introduction to city planning and urban development trends in Israeli cities.

Course/Module aims:
The goals of the course are to provide students in the executive program of finance and real estate assessment the background of urban planning, especially public planning. Accordingly the course will cover different definitions of planning and its roles, ways of identifying the public interest, planning and politics, different ways to consider and assess the competing interests of different stakeholders, decision making models. In addition the course will survey a variety of urban trends such as urban revitalization, affordable housing, mixed uses, etc.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
