Course/Module description:
The main objective of this course is to train students in basics of python programming necessary to successfully accomplish the MBA Big Data Analytics and Internet Studies tracks. It will focus on concepts necessary to load, manipulate and present data.
The course combines theoretical classes with hand-on experience. It is designed for students with no prior programming experience.

Course/Module aims:
Learn to program in Python.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
On successful completion of this course, student should be able to write scripts in Python that accomplish simple tasks, load data from various sources, preform data manipulations to their needs and draw conclusions.

3. Basic programming skills
- Variables
- Data types and data structures
- Flow control tools
- Functions
- Debugging
4. Acquaintance with built-in and third-party libraries
- Installing and managing libraries
- Use of libraries
- Math, random, os, requests
5. Working with text files
- Reading and writing files
- Manipulating data

6. Advanced Topics
- Working with archived data
- Data analysis of structured data with Pandas
- Being a better python programmer
- List comprehension, map, lambda
- Error handling
