Course/Module description:
We review central models and theories in the field of leadership. We will learn about leader attributes, behaviors, and central processes through which leaders influence organization members, organizational attributes, and outcomes.
We will learn about key theories and empirical findings in this field.
Learning in the course will be based on in-class discussions of the reading materials, case analyses, and class exercises.
Course/Module aims:
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. To understand and apply major leadership theories and concepts.
2. Recognizing the related individual and organizational factors that contribute to leadership effectiveness.
3. To recognize various leadership styles and the expected outcomes of each.
4. Understand links between leaders' attributes and stakeholder outcomes.
