Course/Module description:
The course is based on readings of texts that trace the birth of Cultural Studies as an (anti)-disciplinary field. We shall follow some key notions and critical theories that formed the field. We shall examine some of these theories through practical engagement that will be discussed in the second semester

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
recognize key notions in Cultural Studies
differentiate between different schools of thought in the field
track the transformation of critical thinking in the last decades
establish an independent project that fuses theoretical components with practices that put them under scrutiny
