Course/Module description:
The course deals with the relation between feminist theories and methodology. It looks into the questions of choosing the research question, the studied population, research methods, power relations between the researcher and the informants, interpretation and validity.
Course/Module aims:
The course is a framework for advanced thinking and learning for students who are interested in expanding their methodological knowledge with view to writing a research paper based on a critical gender perspective.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At the end of this course students will be able to understand the relationship between research methods and theoretical concepts in feminism, to recognize different research methods, to understand issues in feminist research and their basic implementation.
