Course/Module description:
During the twelfth and thirteenth centuries the cathedral flourished as the religious, social and cultural focus of the urban centers. The integration of architecture, sculpture and painting within the Gothic building created a multi-media environment, whose different aspects will be revealed and analyzed

Course/Module aims:
To analyze the interdisciplinary art of the Gothic cathedral in various cultural and social contexts, and according to various methods and perspectives

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To analyze architecture, sculpture and painting according to different methods.
To read literature critically
