Course/Module description:
The relationship between the individual and society as reflected in social theory and in the Israeli and American societies.

Course/Module aims:
Juxtaposing 'the sociology of morality' with 'political philosophy'.
Learning basic concepts in "the sociology of morality", and identifying the use of these concepts in current societies.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To illustrate late-modern social gatherings, to describe and analyze these gatherings, to identify their challenges, and to examine the relevance of the social theory to the understanding of these gatherings.
The course also develops the students' ability for theoretical reading.
