Course/Module description:
How people in different cultures, tell themselves the history of their own kind and its ecology. The course reveals deep structures , common to these stories and explores the rich variety and difference embedded in them. It looks both empirically and philosophically at culture as a system which organizes the human experience and the relations between the human and the non human, and strives to understand this system, in relation to the social at large.

Course/Module aims:
The course seeks to make a basic knowledge of the learners with "Science / Law of Man." During which we will follow the theoretical and methodological development of the anthropological discipline as it developed in Western Europe and the United States. We also address its local instance. The main attention will be directed to the fundamental questions of human existence in ecology with 'Nature', with animals and in human multiplicity and diversity. Special emphasis will be placed on anthropological research method.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. To acknowledge the wealth of possibilities to experience life as cultured human beings, as well as the resemblance between the different options.

2.To juxtapose each cultural option with the social practices it offers to handle the challenges of survival , and organize everyday reality

3. To accept the fact that there is no one natural taken for granted way to tell the world and represent it, within the social structure

4.To reflect one`s own way of life - via, in contrast to, in comparison to – others` people lives
