Course/Module description:
The course enables an exposure to diverse research questions in psychology in general and specifically in the psychology department at the Hebrew University. The course is based on a series of talks by the researchers in the psychology department. The talks will be given from a personal perspective. The researchers will discuss their research interest, what have lead them to these questions, their views and criticism.

Course/Module aims:
The aim of the course is to enable familiarity with research in psychology in general and specifically with research conducted in the department. The knowledge will be regarding both the theoretical and methodological aspects within the research context. This acquaintance will enable integration of the students in the research framework of seminar papers and research experience in the labs (e.g. field work courses).

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

-Familiar with the researchers in the psychology department regarding their fields of interest, research paradigms in their labs and the meaning and implications of their work.
-This acquaintance will result in an elaborate knowledge regarding psychology research, in both theory and method.
-This acquaintance will enable an informed choice regarding research courses such as field work and seminar papers.
-This acquaintance will enable an understanding of the psychology research realm, hence basic knowledge regarding research and its meaning.
