Course/Module description:
The goal of the course is to expose students to current research in the field of emotions and debate current findings and theories. Throughout the course, there will be guest lectures by researchers in the field. Between the lectures, we will conduct discussions led by the students on the research we have heard, including ideas for further research. The main sessions of the course will take place as part of the retreat towards the end of the semester. Given the situation of war, there may be changes.
Course/Module aims:
The aim of this course is to expose students to current research on emotions, acquaint them with researchers in the field at the university, and conduct critical and in-depth discussion of the pressing issues that drive research on emotions.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
- To understand the current debates and empirical findings in the field
- To present and evaluate recent papers
- To formulate new research questions and to design experiments to test them
