תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס מציג כיוון תאורטי חדש יחסית, אקו-קריטיציזם. כיוון זה שם במוקד העבודה הפרשנית של יצירת הספרות את האופן בו היא מטפלת ביחסי אדם-טבע (בדרך כלל, יחסי אדם ובעלי חיים). התובנות שפרשנות מסוג זה מעוניינת בהן קשורות לזהות אנושית, ולמורכבויות האתיות השונות הקשורות ביחס שבין האדם לעולם.

מטרות הקורס:
• להכיר כיוון תאורטי פרשני עכשווי מלהיב וחשוב
• לפתח דיאלוג ביקורתי אישי בנוגע ליחס לטבע

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
• לחבר פרשנות טבע מורכבת וטובה עד סוף הקורס.
• לנתח באופן רב-צדדי פרקטיקות הקשורות ליחסי אדם טבע
• להפעיל צורות פרשנות ספרותית על מוסדות, ולא רק על טקסטים.
