Course/Module description:
The 2022 Regional Study Campus will be dedicated to the Negev Highlands. The campus combines the study of environmental and human aspects and traces the patterns of human activity that characterize the region throughout the periods in their environmental context.

Course/Module aims:
• Clarifying the patterns of ancient human activity in the Negev Highlands from a regional perspective.
• First-hand assimilation of environmental and cultural landscapes through prolonged stay and study in the field.
• Personal study of a phenomenon / site and their presentation in the field.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
• Describe the regional features of the Negev Highlands and the patterns of human activity that characterize it.
• Introduce a phenomenon / site in the field to a professional audience.
• Integrate environmental information as part of the archaeological work process.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Four consecutive days of travel and study in the field. The campus will be preceded by two introductory meetings in the class.

Additional information:
The campus will be held between 27/2 and 2/3.
Two preparatory meetings will be held in room 300 on February 13 and 20, between 17:00-19:00.
