Course/Module description:
The course will present the main archaeological sites and monuments in Judea/Palestine and Trans-Jordan from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine Periods and will discuss their role in the study of the history and culture of the various ethnic groups residing in the region. Topics include, inter alia, cities and city-plans, public and private structures in urban and rural settings, roads, bridges, harbors, structures for mass entertainment, coins, daily artifacts and agricultural installations
