Course/Module description:
-In this course, we will learn inscriptions from Sinai, the Land of Israel and its environs, from the first half of the second millennium BCE until the destruction of the First Temple; The inscriptions will be read from pictures and drawings, under close guidance, paying attention to linguistic, historical and paleographic aspects

Course/Module aims:
knowing the development of alphabetic writing in the Ancient Near East
Reading inscriptions in the scripts that will be learned

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
-read inscriptions in Canaanite, Hebrew and Aramaic scripts

Attendance requirements(%):

-Siloam inscription
- Judah and Israel - a comparative view
