Course/Module description:
Reading the Ritual tablet and incantations in Sumerian and Akkadian of the washing of the mouth ceremony for the induction of the cultic statue.

Course/Module aims:
An independent and critical reading of the text
In-depth approach to the ancient Mesopotamian perception of the gods

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Knowledge of the corpus of incantations and rituals of the washing of the mouth ceremony
A critical approach to similar texts
