Course/Module description:
The course will focus on the reading of primary sources from Late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages related to issues of historiography and the construction of memory, with reference to modern research and the relevant theoretical material.

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Acquaintance with the relevant research in the field, and a preliminary experience in independent research.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures, close reading of primary sources, and discussions in class.

Course/Module Content:
Will be circulated during the first meeting.

Required Reading:
Will be given to the students each week, according to the topic and the progress of the class.
