Course/Module description:
Students will be introduced to key developments and basic terms in the European Middle Ages in a range of topics, starting with identity (what names do people have? how do they identify? to which groups they belong?), politics, religion and science ending with literature, music and theatre.

Course/Module aims:
General acquaintance with medieval history.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To analyze a translated primary source from the Middle Ages in light of the historical processes that were studied.
