Course/Module description:
The course will survey major political, social, cultural, and economic developments that took place in the U.S. during the New Deal era, with an emphasis on primary source analysis. We will cover roaring 20s, the Great Depression, the rise of F.D.R. and his New Deal policies, as well as the Second World War.

Course/Module aims:
Teach students how to read and analyze historical text while expanding their knowledge about U.S. society and culture from the 1920s through World War II.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Describe the political, social, cultural, and economic developments that took place in the U.S. during the 1920s, the New Deal, and WWII.
Examine and analyze the significance of these developments and this time period within a broader historical context.
Identify and analyze primary sources.
Identify, analyze, and find secondary sources.
Devise a historical argument.

90%
