Course/Module description:
The course will introduce the students to the medieval period through the lens of the history of Paris, from being an insignificant Galic village to a royal, economic, and intellectual center of the French kingdom. Through the sites and institutions of the city we shall study about monasteries, kings and queens, economy, church and university, the history of France and of urbanity.
