Course/Module description:
The course aims that students develop vocabulary and grammar knowledge in Turkish. Different professional language books from Turkey are made use of. Students are active participants during lesson.

Course/Module aims:
Giving students basic reading and speaking skills in Turkish.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Students are expected to be able to engage in simple dialogues and understand simple texts.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: The method is eclectic and involves basically:

communicative method

hearing-visual method

Course/Module Content:
The grammatical knowledge is given within different topics (such as hobbies, talents etc.) that are connected with daily language.

List of grammar subjects:


copulas, pronouns, kinds of contiguity, simple tenses, harmony of vowels, harmony of consonants, particles, conjunctions.

vocabulary that is needed for self-presentation and basic communication.

Required Reading:
Reading texts, that are taken from different Turkish study books, will be followed.
