Course/Module description:
Online course on the different ways to analyse and narrate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Course/Module aims:
* To become familiar with the approaches existing in the research and political fields to analyze the conflict;
* Become familiar with basic concepts in historical research - facts, narratives, myths and sources;
* Milestones in the conflict and how they are interpreted by one party.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
* The students will be able to present the perceptions of both sides regarding the roots of the conflict and its main moves;
* Students will be able to analyze historical texts and understand the underlying assumptions.
* Students will be able to identify religious beliefs and national ethos of both sides as they appear in various events

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: 20 minutes online lectures followed by short assignments

Course/Module Content:
The course consists of five units:
A. introduction
B. The religious dimension of the conflict
C. The national dimension in the conflict
D. On violence and armed struggle (mandate document).
E. The 1948 war and the refugee problem
