Course/Module description:
The elementary level course offers an introduction to Colloquial Arabic: grammar and reading of graded texts. This course deals with the basic morphology and syntax of Colloquial Arabic and is intended for students with no prior knowledge of this kind of Arabic.

Course/Module aims:
The purpose of the course is to read texts in spoken Arabic while providing basic tools in the field of grammar, syntax and vocabulary in this type of language.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At the end of the course, the students will know basic grammar, syntax and vocabulary, which will enable them to read simple texts in Colloquial Arabic.
