Course/Module description:
The course surveys a range of socio-cultural issues pivotal to the culture of Iran since the Mongol conquest of the 13th century till the Safavids.
Course/Module aims:
The course aims at broadening the students' knowledge and understanding of the historical period under study through frontal lectures and class discussions of sources in translation and secondary scholarly literature.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The students should be able to present and analyse main socio-cultural processes in the Iranian areal of the studied historical period.
Attendance requirements(%):
90%. The student is allowed to miss not more than four classes without a written permission.
Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
