Course/Module description:
The Abraham Accords have introduced many Israelis to the complex dynamics between Israel and the Gulf states. Why are relations with Gulf countries characterized by "warm peace"? What motivates Saudi Arabia or Oman to consider normalizing relations with Israel? How does Bahrain benefit Israel, and what is Israel’s stance on diplomatic ties with Qatar? Why does Kuwait remain outside the discourse on warming relations? In this course, we will explore these questions and more.

The course aims to bridge knowledge gaps regarding Israel's relations with the Arab Gulf states and to cultivate a community of experts with a deep understanding of the Gulf arena from an Israeli perspective—examining its historical, cultural, political, economic, and civil dimensions.
