Course/Module description:
Applying a "method" in theoretical research is not a self-evident thing. If we look at different types of theoretical or philosophical writing, we will find it difficult to distinguish a very clear method. We will not see strict rules as in quantitative research, no will we be able to use rules and norms as in qualitative research.
This does not mean that "everything goes" in theoritical writing. The opposite is true, and during the course we will see how phenomena, processes and ideas can be investigated using theoretical means. We will learn several "methods" to do this and get to know intellectual traditions that approach the question of the search for truth from different angles. This familiarization will be done while reading "methodological" materials and the studies themselves, as well as initial experience in research writing.

Course/Module aims:
* Getting to know different theoretical research methods and understanding their rationale
• Introduction to groundbreaking texts that have a part in defining the methods we will study
• Forming a research worldview (that is, which research method do I most connect with?)
• Initial experience in theoretical research writing

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
