Course/Module description:
The course deals with the definition of the professional framework of the school counselor. The lessons discuss the theoretical aspects establishing the school counseling practice.

Course/Module aims:
To know the essence of the school counseling profession, as a base for developing a professional identity.
To know the historical development of the profession; the philosophical and social principals and trends in Israel and the rest of the world.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
-Recognise and discuss key components that characterize the school counselor profession.
-Describe the main theoretical ideas that construct the school counselors practice.
-Discuss and compere between the theoretical views and the practical reality of the school counselor profession.
