Course/Module description:
The course focuses on reviewing the theoretical and empirical foundations of career development and career decision making, and discussing ways to apply them to assist deliberating individuals in choosing a field of study and career.
Course/Module aims:
1. Presenting a number of theoretical approaches to career guidance, while exploring the possible implementation of these theoretical approaches in the counseling.
2. Presenting tools that are used for assessment in the counseling process, and those that can be used for developing the necessary skills to make better career decisions.
3. To promote critical thinking and approach to the different theoretical approaches and tools that are used in the career counseling process.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. The students will learn a number of career development theories.
2. The students will learn about a variety of tools for facilitating career decisions.
