Course/Module description:
The course will expose students to a variety of genres required for teaching Hebrew in the classroom.
The course will deal with topics of writing in Hebrew as a mother tongue and in Hebrew as a second language and will focus on theoretical discourse and classroom discourse as encouraging or hindering learning.
The course will focus on distinguishing between the genres in Hebrew and will acquire linguistic, structural and pragmatic tools through which the student will learn to convert text from one type to another, and will also learn different ways to decipher the text and rework it according to the class of students.

Course/Module aims:
Mastery of the characteristics of theoretical texts of different types in terms of structure and language. Understanding the importance of classroom learning discourse. Familiarity with ways of evaluating texts written by students.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Write a text according to the genres of the theoretical text
• Identify subgenres in theoretical discourse and analyze the characteristics of their structure and language
• Teach diverse texts in the theoretical genre
• Make a comprehensive literacy profile of the students and evaluate their progress in writing.
