Course/Module description:
This course will be taught in conjunction with course "Innovative Pedagogies" (Course 34299) and add dimensions that will focus on the practical implications of the topics covered. Course participants will visit educational institutions that are implementing innovative pedagogies, observe educational activities, meet with the practitioners, and review the theoretical principles of these pedagogies. In wake of these visits, students will work in groups to prepare an educational project that presents the pedagogies, their underlying principles, achievements, as well as their limitations and challenges. Each group will then present their findings to the larger group, weigh the feedback, and then submit the course final assignment.

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
• Students will be exposed to a range of innovative and cutting edge initiatives in Israel and around the world
• Students will acquire the skills to successfully integrate theory and practice in education
• Students will acquire skills to work together with a partner on an educational project
• Students will be exposed to various models of confronting current educational challenges.
• Students will acquire skills to appreciate the importance of educational assessment and suitable models for realizing this goal.
• Students will meet a range of educational leaders and learn about their educational visions and ways to bring these to fruition.
• Students will learn about current models of educational leadership and the challenges that these face.
