Course/Module description:
We will examine social issues in teaching mathematics.In this course we will tour different schools and introduce different models for teaching mathematics.
Course/Module aims:
Knowledge of the social and psychological aspects of teaching mathematics in
the Israeli society.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Analysis of the Complexity of Case Studies in Teaching Mathematics.

Course/Module Content:
Psychological and sociological aspects of teaching mathematics:
Gender and Mathematics Teaching, Values in Mathematics Education, SEL and Mathematics Teaching, Motivation and Math Anxiety. Experiences in teaching mathematics.
The role of the teacher beyond teaching mathematics. Examination of relevant case studies
