Course/Module description:
The course will deal with selected topics from the citizenship curriculum while deepening the evaluation alternatives that exist in the profession, in addition to selected technological applications that can be integrated in both teaching and evaluation.
In addition to this, the course will deal with imparting diverse thinking strategies and skills such as: fruitful questioning, RH: seeing, thinking, asking, asking questions, teaching in the research way, using films in the teaching of citizenship

Course/Module aims:
1. Development of teaching practices related to the content taught in the course and subject to the reform of the renewal of learning
2. Development of assessment practices in relation to the content taught in the course and in accordance with the new reform
3. Knowledge of teaching alternatives that exist in citizenship in accordance with the learning renewal program
4. Knowledge of technological tools that can be integrated into citizenship
5. Getting to know the citizenship curriculum and its goals
6. Getting to know the site from PMR Citizenship and the Pedagogical Space

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. The students will integrate the concepts, content and higher order thinking strategies, which they acquired in the course, in planning lessons and building teaching units in citizenship
2. The students will acquire effective ways of guiding students in scientific writing in general and in the construction of assignments such as a position paper.
3. The students will get to know some of the assessment alternatives that exist in the subject of citizenship .
4. The students will be able to integrate effective technological tools in the construction and planning of the study units

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: The course will take place face-to-face.
Along with the standard presentation of the course topics, high-order thinking strategies will also be integrated in the delivery of the course such as: comparison, asking questions, reflection, expressing a personal and critical opinion, synthesis, ...
Following this, work in groups, film analysis will be used.

1. The principles of the democratic regime: the rule of the people/ pluralism and tolerance/ majority rule/ elections/ limitation of power
2. Types of human rights
3. Social and economic policy in Israel and the world
4. Teaching loops within the new reform: building a visual product + podcast
.
5. Scientific writing workshop:position paper
