Course/Module description:
This course's goal is to expose students to the current academic discourse surrounding the topics of citizenship and civic education. The guiding assumption is that such a theoretical perspective will assist current and future teachers to deal with the special characteristics of this field, and help generate a personal educational world view.

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
*conduct a thoughtful evaluation of case studies surrounding this field.
*plan an educational unit that will demonstrate the "translation" of theoretical ideals to educational practices.
