Course/Module description:
Analyze major social trends in Israel over the last 65 years. The course is concerned with people, and not with institutions or social and political systems in an attempt to explore trends in behaviors of the Jewish population.

pre-statehood era; law of return; immigration and absorption, ethnic stratification; family and gender; jewish and Israeli identity; voting patterns; emigration from Israel; memory of Holocaust; Israel in international perspective
