Course/Module description:

The course will focus on developing a model and conceptualization for processing bereavement and grief in a group-community approach and operating principles for developing tools based on different types of knowledge, not necessarily professional and academic knowledge. The starting point for the course will be the "Abraham's Tent" program (from the foundation of the Gvanim association) that was established after the outbreak of the war to treat groups of young people who lost friends and relatives in Nova and the war. The program is run by young people who are trained to facilitate the groups but are not professionals. The course will work to learn the methods of action through observations and interviews and joint learning with the operators of the model and its participants, and will focus both on the specific grief processing model of "Abraham's Tent" and on the meaning of recovery models that are based on knowledge from experience and other types of knowledge.
