תאור כללי של הקורס:
הפרשנות של המרחב העירוני כסוג של טקסט אמנותי היא מגמה מרכזית בשיח האינטלקטואלי העכשווי. בסמינריון נעסוק ב"הטקסט הפטרבורגי" כפי שמושג זה פותח בסמיוטיקה הרוסית, על רקע רעיונות אורבאניים החל מתקופת הרנסנס וכלה בתורות התרבותיות של המאה ה-20. ה"ביוגראפיה תרבותית" של סנקט פטרסבורג תעמוד במרכז הדיון ונפגיש את הסטודנטים באופן בלתי אמצעי עם יצירות האמנות שעצבו ושמעצבים את פני הנוף הפטרבורגי באדריכלות, אמנות, ספרות, תאטרון, קולנוע ומוסיקה. הסמינריון יכלול ניתוח של יצירות מופת ועם תהליכים אמנותיים בתרבות הרוסית באמצעות לימוד העיר, הכירות עם מגמות השיח המחקרי הבינתחומי בלימודי העיר ומפגש ישיר עם בני העיר ואמניה.
מטרות הקורס:
לחקור עיר כטקסט אמנותי. להפגיש את הסטודנטים עם מבחר יצירות מופת ועם תהליכים אמנותיים בתרבות הרוסית באמצעות לימוד העיר. להכיר מגמות מרכזיות בשיח המחקרי הבינתחומי בלימודי העיר וליצר מפגש ישיר עם בני העיר ואמניה.
תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
• לדון במרחב העירוני בראי במפגש האמנויות
• להבין את טיבה של העיר כתופעה תרבותית בינתחומית
• להבין תהליכים המרכזיים בהיסטוריה ובספרות הרוסית דרך ניתוח העיר כטקסט
• להתעמק בניתוח יחסי הגומלין שבין התרבות והאמנות הרוסית לבין האמנות המערבית.

שיטת ההוראה בקורס:
הרצאות פרונטליות; צפייה בקטעים מוקלטים של מופעי מוסיקה, תיאטרון, אופרה ובלט ודיון בהם; סיור בעיר סנקט בטרסבורג בסוף מאי 2015, והצגת רפרטים במהלך הסיור על ידי כל אחד מהסטודנטים; מפגשים עם האמנים הפטרבורגים.

1. מבוא: עיר כמעבדה אמנותית; המערכת "מוסקבה – סנקט פטרבורג" והרעיון של עיר הבירה האירופית למופת תכנית הקמתה של העיר ויישומה בימי פטר הגדול ולאחר מכן;
2. הטקסט הפטרבורגי: פושקין, גוגול, דוסטוייבסקי;
3. הפרפורמנס הפטרבורגי: תיאטרון הקיסרות והבלט הפטרבורגי: פטיפה, פוקין, דיאגילב; מיירהולד והקברט הפטרבורגי, התיאטרון הפוטוריסטי ואדיפוס המלך בכרקס צ'ניזלי; הדימוי הקולנועי של העיר;
4. האופרה בסנקט פטרבורג;
5. בין פולקלור ללאומיות על סיפה של המאה ה-20: האסכולה הלאומית למוסיקה יהודית והחברה לחקר הפולקלור היהודי בסנקט פטרבורג כמקרי מבחן
6. פטרבורג כמרכז המודרנה היהודית: שמעון דובנוב, שלמה אנ-סקי, התאטרון היהודי הקאמרי, בית הכנסת
