Course/Module description:
The seminar constitutes the main research forum of MA and PhD students in the Section of Iberian and Latin American Studies. All research students and academic staff of the section take part in the seminar.

Course/Module aims:
The main goal is to provide a supportive forum for the advancement of thesis and dissertations. In addition, the intention is to constitute an intellectual community for our graduate students.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. To learn a wide range of research strategies and approaches.
2. To learn about different sources and archives.
3. To improve research skills.
4. To improve the academic writing.
5. To learn how to present academic papers in academic forums.
6. To learn to answer questions and explain different aspects of academic works.
7. To develop the "academic" reading of the students.
8. To develop the capability of recognizing the strength and weakness of specific academic papers/
9. To widen the knowledge on Latin America's history and culture.
