Course/Module description:
A research seminar during which the students will study and present events and processes relate to the 1948 war - while at the same time think of our ability to know the past through reading in the existing literature - Israeli and Palestinian - on the war

Course/Module aims:
The aim of the seminar is to study together the war of 1948 and how history of conflict is written - and use the 1948 war as a test case

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
to present major schools in the study of 1948, to compare narratives and analyses of events through delving into the conceptual framework of each writer, and place themselves vis a vis the existing schools of study

An exam on 1948 will be held in the 5th week of the year. Grade 85 in this exam is a condition for submitting a final/seminar paper for the course
