Course/Module description:
The class will examine selected questions in the history of gender and sexuality in comparative perspective, using case studies from various societies, including the history of feminism, the policing of sexuality and the formation of intersecting identities.

This course is an introduction to the history of gender and sexuality, as well as to feminist and queer history. It constitutes a basis for future study in these fields.
