תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס יעסוק בביטויים שונים של התרבות היוונית בערים מרכזיות באגן הים התיכון על רקע עליית הנצרות: דת, פילוסופיה, תרבות הפנאי, השכלה וחינוך,במיוחד באלכסנדריה, פלוזיום ועזה.

מטרות הקורס:
להקנות הבנה וכלים לניתוח היסטורי של התרבות ההלנית על רקע עליית הנצרות.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
הבנה מעניקה של תהליכים היסטוריים המהווים רקע לעליית הנצרות ולתהליך האיטי של התנצרות האימפריה על רקע התרבות ההלנית וחיי הדת היוונית-רומית באלכסנדריה, פלוזיום ועזה
