תאור כללי של הקורס:
מטרת הקורס היא לחקור את נוסח תורת השומרונים, הטקסטים הקדם-שומרוניים שנשתמרו במגילות קומראן, מסורת הקריאה של השומרונים, העברית השומרונית והגיש מבוא לתרגומים השומרוניים של התורה לארמית ולערבית.
כתבי היד הקדומים של תורת השומרונים הועתקו במאה ה-יב לספריה, אבל המסורת הטקסטואלית נוצרה לפי כל הנראה במאות האחרונות לפני הספירה, ומקורה נמצא במספר מגילות בקומראן.
ישיבות הסמינר יוקדשו בעיקר לקריאה בטקסטים שונים ובניתוח של היחסים ביניהם. פרשנות הכתובים עומדת במרכז השוואתם מבחינת ההקשר, הלשון ותולדות הנוסח.

מטרות הקורס:
מטרת הסמינר היא לחנך לקראת ראייה רב-מערכתית ורב-גוונית של הממצא הטקסטואלי המקראי. הניתוח העצמאי של טקסטים משמש מטרה בפני עצמה כמו גם השוואת ההבדלים בין הטקסטים על סמך הקשרם. נוסח המסורה משמש כאחד מתוך טקסטים רבים, אף כי בתורה יש לו חשיבות יתר. ניתוח מעמיק של התורת השומרונים מגישה הבטים חשובים בנוגע לזה.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
הסמינר מיועד להדריך את התלמיד/ה המתקדם/מת בדרכו להשתמש באופן עצמאי בממצא הטקסטואלי. הוא יהיה יותר מנוסה בהערכה טקסטואלית המבוססת על ניתוח לשוני ועל פרשנות הקשרית. יהיה לו יותר ניסיון בפיתוח רעיונות על טקסטים בודדים, על טקסטים מקוטעים, על יחסים בין טקסטים וכיו"ב. יהיה לו גם מידע ספציפי על התורה השומרונית והטקסטים הקרובים לה מימי בית שני ועל מקומם בהתפתחות נוסח התורה. הראייה חובקת העולם של כל עדי נוסח התורה תכלול גם פיתוח דעה על הנוסח המקורי המשוער של ספר זה.
