Course/Module description:
We shall read selected detective stories, from its "founding fathers" (E.A. Poe, A.C. Doyle), through some of its "classical" authors (Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler) and several of it manifesttions in cinema and TV. We shall discuss its basic elements and its variations and read selected articles which describe its characteristics.

To read selected important detective stories and to critically discuss its characteristics.
