Course/Module description:
The course demonstrates different rabbinic readings of the Song of Songs.The sages were aware of the poetic qualities of the Song of Songs. The Song of Songs served as an inspiration to the sages in the composition of their own poetic midrashim. Their interpretations reinforce and expand the unique literary features of the biblical song.
