Course/Module description:
What is Israeli Mizrahi literature, can it be chracterized? Post Colonial theory and Hebrew literary criticism will guide our answers to these questions

Course/Module aims:
To be familiar with major Mizrahi voices in Israeli literature. To know basic concepts in Post Colonial theory. To discuss recent key Israeli novels.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Use postcolonialist theory to discuss Israeli narrative fiction and Mizrahi voices in it.

What is Mizrahi literature: Meir Buzaglo, Yossi Sucary, Kahanoff, Yehoshua, Ballas, Rabinyan, Matalon, Berdugo.
