תאור כללי של הקורס:
סמינר זה יוקדש לפרשנות המקרא באגרות פאולוס ולשאלת יחסה לפרשנות במדרשי התנאים. נדון במקרים של מסורות פרשניות מקבילות העולות בשני הקורפוסים, אך עיקר העיון שלנו יוקדש לעיון משווה בטכניקות פרשניות המשמשות את פאולוס ואת התנאים. נדון בשאלה האם ואיך השיוך העצמי של פאולוס לפרושים יכול לשמש אותנו כדי לעסוק בתולדות המדרש ובבעיות המתודולוגיות האופפות אותה. נעסוק במעברים שבין ספרות יהודית ביוונית וזו הכתובה עברית, ברעיונות משותפים ומקוטבים, במצב המחקר ובניתוח מצבו. זו הזדמנות לעיין לעומק בכתבי פאולוס ובדרשות (אגדה) חז״ליות.

בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
בסיומו של הסמינר סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים לדון בפירושי מקרא של פאולוס וחז״ל מבחינה הרמנויטית ורעיונות. כמו גן יוכלו לדון בגישות היסטוריות ואנליטיות שונות לדיון במקבילות בהקשרן התרבותי הרחב וליישמן ביחס למקורות.
